[ltr]White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said the United States plans to cut military support for groups fighting a sympathetic organization in Iraq and Syria. According to Reuters.[/ltr]
[ltr]Sanders said in a press statement that "under the shrinking of territory controlled by the militant organization."[/ltr]
[ltr]"We are in a position to stop providing military equipment to certain groups, but that does not mean stopping all support for these groups," she said.[/ltr]
[ltr]On the other hand, Turkey reported that US President Donald Trump told his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan that he had issued instructions not to provide weapons to Syrian Kurdish fighters, whom Ankara considers a threat to its security.[/ltr]
