China's imports of crude oil rose to 37.04 million tons in November, the equivalent of 9.01 million barrels per day, the second highest level ever, data from the Chinese Customs Administration showed.
In the first 11 months of the year, China imported 386 million tons of crude oil, up 12 percent year-on-year, according to figures.
China is increasing production of crude oil to 200 million tons by 2020, while the natural gas supply capacity exceeds 360 billion cubic meters.
