The Central Bank of Iraq's foreign exchange sales rose to $ 158.91 million on Wednesday, compared to $ 154.71 million on Tuesday, an increase of $ 4.2 million.
The Central Bank said in a statement received by "Economy News", that the exchange rate amounted to 1190 dinars per dollar, in the auction held with the participation of 39 banks, and 8 companies for financial transfer.
The total sales for the day were $ 174.71 million, the bank said.
Amounts sold to boost bank balances abroad were $ 157.66 million, while cash sales were estimated at $ 1.25 million.
