The Secretary-General of the Iraqi National Congress, Aaras Habib, on Thursday, there is a breakthrough in the current crisis between Baghdad and Erbil, noting that the Constitution, which has been in force since 2005 is still the social contract between all Iraqis.
"Everyone now wants to participate in the elections within the framework of the constitution, and if it were not for his ability to absorb all the contradictions, despite the remarks on many of his articles, the number of parties that intend to participate in the elections exceeds 204," Habib said in a statement.
Habib said that "the signs of détente in the crisis between Baghdad and Erbil come in the context of the parties' keenness to respect the constitution, so as long as he is the ruler among us, everything else will not be an obstacle." Ending / 25
