    The Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar, Ambassador Alia Ahmed Al-Thani, sent a similar letter to UN Secretary-General António Guterres and to the President of the Security Council, Ambassador Khazrat Umarov of Kazakhstan, which included a complaint against the United Arab Emirates, One of its warplanes penetrated the Qatari airspace.

    The Qatari delegate described the incident as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of Qatar and the safety of its borders and territory. It comes in the context of "irresponsible provocative actions" carried out by the United Arab Emirates against the State of Qatar.

    "In the event of such a recurrence, the State of Qatar will, in order to preserve its sovereign right, take all necessary measures to defend its borders, airspace and national security in accordance with international laws and regulations," Ambassador Al Thani said.

    The UAE has not issued any comment on the Qatari accusations against it, and the response received by Qatar from international officials has not been known.
