Iran will play an important and unique role in the reconstruction of Iraq, which has entered the stage of building the national economy, the Iranian ambassador in Baghdad said on Saturday.
"Iraq has emerged peacefully from two crises, the first of which was a crisis in which it succeeded and won. The various forces, such as the popular crowd, the police and the Iraqi army, played a key role," Masjedi was quoted as saying during a speech at the Forum on Expenses and Benefits of Iran-Iraq Relations. In it, of course, the Iraqis themselves value Iran's support in the fight against Saddam. "
He added that "the second issue was the referendum in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, and if not directed correctly, it would have pushed this country to another crisis, and in this context Iran played an important role."
"Iraq has entered a new phase, that is, to rebuild the economy and establish political relations," he said. "Iran must play a unique and important role in the reconstruction of Iraq, and the Iranian people, companies and ministries must play their part in this field." Ending / 25
