    Revealed the New York Times, that Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki did not happen during his visit to Washington on the obligations of the U.S. administration on armament and because of plotting to take over power for a third term.

    According to "The New York Times" in an article on Saturday that the U.S. approved the need of Iraq's military support through reinforcement, but Maliki, who is planning for a third term did not get on the obligations of this aspect of the administration.

    US President Barack Obama urged Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to build a comprehensive democratic system in the country. 
    Obama emphasized after meeting with Al-Maliki, Friday, at the White House on the need for Iraq to take further steps towards building a comprehensive democratic system such as approval of the electoral law, and free and fair elections next year "so people can resolve their differences through politics instead of violence."

    Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, in his talks with us President Barack Obama focused on cooperation in the fight against terrorism as well as to discuss the crisis.
    He said Al-Maliki told the press after meeting with "Obama in the White House, on Friday evening," talked with American President need to activate the strategic framework agreement and cooperation against terrorism, "Noting that" Iraq is trying to buy us combat helicopters (Apache), as they enter into the fight against terrorism and Al-Qaeda hideouts and we will sign the contract quickly to face the current challenges in addition to weapons and offensive intelligence systems ".
    He said Al-Maliki "either strategic weapons needed for a long time, such as combat aircraft of the type [BL] (F-16) and artillery and tank (Abrams) that take a long time and is implemented by.
    The Prime Minister called on the US Administration to convince Congress to pass these deals, we met with members of Congress and conveyed to them the need for such weapons, especially the security challenges facing Iraq and hope to be convinced.
    Al-Maliki and his delegation will conclude his State visit to Washington (where he arrived last Tuesday) today, after its decision Monday to order an emergency, according to a diplomatic source.

     I have not found anything that flat out says that it was activated. So, just don't know at this point but kind of doubt it since a definite statement hasn't been made jmo
