Anbar provincial council member Yahya al-Mohammadi announced on Monday the reopening of the road between Abu Sidra and the international highway for the first time in more than three years.
"The security forces, in coordination with the local government in Anbar, reopened the road linking al-Bo Sidira in the Saqlawiyah district north of Falluja and the international highway after a three-year closure as a result of tight control on the road, which is one of the most important strategic roads," al-Mohammadi said. Links areas north of Falluja with the international rapid line. "
"The re-opening of the road came against the backdrop of security stability in all parts of the cities of Anbar," adding that "the reopening of the road will contribute to alleviate the suffering of the people of those areas as well as the elimination of traffic jams."
"The efforts to reopen the main roads as part of a plan prepared by the security leaders after the announcement of the final victory over criminals pleaded."
