"The entry of these commodities in the current form will not allow the development of the industrial and agricultural sectors in the country," warned an economist from the risks to the Iraqi economy as a result of the invasion of foreign goods, especially the Iranian.

"The Iraqi market today has become a haven for many goods, especially Iranian of various kinds," said expert Salem al-Bayati, referring to remarks made by an Iranian official urging his country's producers to pay attention to the Iraqi market, which imports 99 percent of Iraq's needs.

Al-Bayati added: "The estimates of the Iranian side are serious and must be stopped because of the entry of such goods to Iraq, which does not allow the growth of any industrial or agricultural sector, whether through competition of Iraqi products or in other ways almost unknown to all, Infrastructure ".

"There should be a diversity of goods imported into Iraq and schedules of goods, quality and origin should be organized so as not to be limited to one or more countries, especially since Iraq is one of the most importing countries due to the decline in work in many local production sectors," he said.
