"The Iraqi people are waiting for the international community to support the reconstruction after the courageous stand of this people in confronting and defeating terrorism and protecting the world from its danger," Jumaili said in remarks to the first session of the International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq held in Kuwait on February 12-14. Conditions are ripe for the start of reconstruction operations in the framework of the plan set by the Iraqi government for this purpose, which lasted 10 years from 2018-2027.
Jumaili added that "the important aspect in achieving development is the existence of many investment opportunities available in all areas," calling on international companies to "benefit from these opportunities."
