    Iraq needs $ 23 billion in the short term and $ 65 billion over the medium term, the minister of planning Salman Jumaili said on Monday, noting that the damage to the energy and oil sectors is the highest. 

    "The total damage to the seven provinces that have been caused by the terrorist acts of Nineveh, Anbar, Salah al-Din, Baghdad, Babel, Diyala and Kirkuk, has reached a total of seven," Jumaili said during his first session of the donor conference in Kuwait. ($ 14 billion) and the value of the losses on the monetary assets of banks and banks, which amounted to about 10 billion dollars. "




    He added that "the needs of reconstruction and recovery estimated at (88.2) billion dollars, including 22.9 billion dollars needed by Iraq in the short term and (65.4) billion dollars in the medium term," adding that "if the non-oil economy continued to grow at the rate before 2014 by 8%, the real cumulative losses of non-oil GDP is estimated at (107) billion dollars. " 

    Al-Jumaili added that "the housing sector suffered damages amounting to 16 billion dollars, which constitutes 35% of the total damage." He pointed out that "the number of damaged residential buildings is estimated at 147 thousand residential buildings (37%), In the province of Salah al-Din and (17%) in Anbar province. "

    "The damage to the energy, oil and gas sectors is the highest among the infrastructure sectors, amounting to (11) billion dollars," Al-Jumaili said, adding that "the industrial and trade sector was the most productive sectors affected, where the damage in this sector amounted to more than ( ($ 2.4 billion) and the health sector (2.3 billion dollars), "he said. 

    The Minister of Planning and Development Cooperation Salman Jumaili said on Monday that Iraq has drawn up a plan for 10 years for the reconstruction of Iraq, while calling on international companies to take advantage of the opportunities for the reconstruction of the country.
