Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Monday that Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Chafar said the need to confront Israel and its activities in the Middle East.
Lavrov said at a conference in the Middle East club Valdai "Moscow rejects statements that talk about the need to destroy Israel."
"The US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is largely due to anti-Iranian bias, which is risky and could aggravate the situation," he said.
"We do not agree with the attempts to look at any regional problem through the perspective of fighting Iran. This is noticed in Syria, and in Yemen, and even developments in the recent situation on the Palestinian issue, including Washington's announcement of its recognition of Jerusalem as an exceptional capital of Israel, Against Iran. "
The Russian foreign minister that this is a threat to exacerbate the situation in the region.
