Basra Governorate Council announced on Tuesday its intention to offer Basra gas to invest in the Petroleum Conference in Berlin with the participation of Iraq and 300 international companies.
"It is hoped that the Petrillium Conference will be held in the German capital of Berlin late this month and with the participation of Iraq," Ali Jorani, head of the oil and gas committee in the council, told Al-Mawloma.
He added that "the Energy Committee of the Basra Council, which will accompany the Iraqi delegation will present Basra gas to invest in the Berlin conference," adding that "more than 300 international companies specialized in the field of oil and gas will participate in the conference."
He explained that "Basra gas will enter into force during the current year in the event of any agreement to invest during the Berlin Conference."
