Parliamentary sources announced a "great convergence" between the federal government and Kurdish deputies to resolve the only point of contention that impede the passage of the federal budget law of the share of the Kurdistan region.
The sources said: "The government reached with the deputies of the Kurdish forces to an agreement to make adjustments to the budget of the Kurdistan region, including lifting to 14% as a compromise solution between the federal government and the Kurdistan region."
She pointed out that "a meeting of the three presidencies will be held on Thursday evening, and may lead to some adjustments to the figures proposed by the government in the federal budget law."
The sources ruled out the possibility of passing the federal budget law for the current year in the event of problems and differences between the Kurdistan region and the federal government, stressing:
