BAGHDAD / The economic expert Salam Samisem, Sunday, on the proportion and size of taxes imposed by the financial budget for 2018 on the citizen to fill the deficit, while confirming that the deficit exceeded the 13 trillion dinars, indicated that the income tax on employees and the salary will be 3- 15% .
"The financial budget imposed an import tax estimated at 15 percent, while the real estate tax was 12 percent , and the tax of telephone and internet services was 20 percent , while the airport tax was 25,000 for the foreign ticket, And 10,000 dinars for the internal ticket . "
"The hotel and restaurant tax is 15 percent , the fuel tax is 10 percent , the sugar drink tax is 10 cents per liter , the alcohol tax is 200 percent , the sugar tax is 100 percent, " she said.
"The Baghdad municipality services tax is 10 percent for the property or land , the road and bridge maintenance tax is 8 percent of the value of the vehicle , and the water and electricity fees are increased by 5 percent, " she said.
" Iraq has become a double taxation country where the government imposes 100 percent taxes on oil imports, while the constitution stipulates that oil is the property of the Iraqi people according to Article 111," Smisem said.
