The British company WRA and its partners have signed a contract with the General Company for Iraqi Ports for a new facility worth 350 million dollars with 3 to 4 berths in the port of Umm Qasr in the province of Basra in southern Iraq.
"The new development, in partnership with local company Bar Aman, will include the warehouses and other operations facilities, with operational value of around $ 1.5 billion over the next 38 years," Arak Business News said in a news release.
"The three berths will be built in two phases, including three phases; including a berth with a 200 meter sea front with storage yards attached to it, and the development of sidewalks and storage yards with equipment, machinery and technical display according to specifications."
He pointed out that the presence of such infrastructure in its location will make the port of Umm Qasr in a competitive position to develop the development of dry and liquid liquids and container plants through the participation of the private sector, and the provision of better facilities and services. Ending / 25 z
