A source in the North Oil Company announced on Tuesday that the company completed all preparations to resume the export of Kirkuk oil to the Turkish port of Ceyhan, while stressing that Kirkuk oil will be exported through the pipelines of the Kurdistan region after the bombing of old pipelines in 2013.

The source told "Iraq News" that "the North Oil Company completed all preparations to resume the export of Kirkuk oil to the Turkish port of Ceyhan," noting that "the company is waiting for the decision of the Federal Oil Ministry to start exporting."

The source said that "the Kirkuk oil will be exported through the pipelines of the Kurdistan region, after the bombing of old pipelines in 2013," noting that "the export of oil from Kirkuk to Iran has not been so far despite the issuance of a ministerial decision to do so."

The head of the Iraqi oil marketing company (Sumo) Alaa al-Yasiri has confirmed last Sunday that the delay in the shipment of Kirkuk crude to Iran is due to the contracting procedures for the selection of trucking companies, not security concerns, pointing out that the Ministry of Oil will soon choose four local freight companies To initially start the transfer of forty thousand barrels per day to Iran.

Iraq and Iran have agreed to swap up to 60,000 barrels per day of crude produced from Kirkuk with Iranian oil for delivery in southern Iraq. Finished 2
