rime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said on Friday that contractors should be given treasury bonds to pay their debts to the state. “A statement by the Information Office,” Al-Ghad Press “a copy of it,” Abadi discussed with members of the Union of Iraqi contractors to overcome obstacles to the work of contractors and the private sector to promote the Iraqi economy. “ The statement added that “this came during a meeting with members of the Iraqi Contractors Union, where he listened to the difficulties facing the work of the group of contractors and accelerate the procedures for obtaining their rights and plans of the Union to promote the private sector.” “We have taken decisions for the benefit of contractors as the financial crisis and war expenses intensify, as we are keen to continue their work, which provides job opportunities for citizens and supports the economy of the country,” Abbadi said. He added that “the circumstances experienced by the country was very difficult, even if the gangs controlled by the terrorist threat to the country to become all the remaining things worthless,” adding that “we won and left stronger and work on the reconstruction and construction of the country.” “We appreciate the suffering of the contractors and the pressure they are subjected to is great because there are dues for them in the state and we work to overcome obstacles and facilitate procedures in this regard, and we need cooperation to solve these problems,” Abbadi said. “There are those who are leading a campaign against the private sector, which represents a large segment of society, represented by mourning, carpentry, construction, shopkeepers and many others,” he said.
