MP for the province of Basra, Jamal Mohammedawi, that the province of Basra is still in need of vital projects, calling on the government to take into account Basra after the high oil prices.
Al-Muhammadawi, a member of the parliamentary oil committee, said in an interview with the "Economy News" that "Basra has a very special peculiarity of oil export and this has been discussed for several occasions with the central government," adding that "imports of the petro-dollar still contain a lot of problems for Basra, "pointing out that the rise in oil prices globally must be taken into account Basra .
Al-Mahmoudawi added that the rise in oil prices should have a study to be reflected on Basra, which produces oil and suffers from a great shortage of services and many of the projects stalled.
