The representative of Basra Governorate, Asaad Muhammad, confirmed, on Friday, that the province is waiting to start the work of about 60 different projects, pointing out that the speedy completion will have a great economic return for the province.
Muhammad told Al-Maalouma, “Basra has many projects that are waiting for the green light in order to start them, and for some of them funds have been allocated within the food security budget, as the total of these projects reached between 50-60 projects."
He added, "The province needs time in order to start projects and reach the final stages of completion, although its completion in a short time will be of interest to Basra from an economic point of view."
And he indicated that "many projects are waiting for the release of financial allocations, and some of them are waiting for the start of business, and there are lagging ones, as Basra awaits many projects, most notably lagging schools and hospitals, infrastructure in districts and districts, and water pipes in Al-Hussein neighborhood, as well as projects related to the health sector.” ended 25 n
