Said the Sadrist movement that it will respond strongly to any Iranian attempt to intervene in the formation of the next government and

said MP Zia al-Asadi, head of the Liberal bloc of the Sadrist movement: "The bloc will seek to conclude alliances to address any Iranian interference in the formation of the government," ruling at the same time to make any agreements with Hadi Amiri or Nuri al-Maliki.

Al-Asadi said in a press statement: "We do not hide our fear of some interference by internal or external forces and Iran, one of them," and hoped that "political leaders have learned not to allow Iranian intervention to dictate the outcome of the elections

, Sadr's bloc will put pressure through legal and democratic channels rather than popular protests if Tehran tries to influence the formation of the government. "
