Ramadan and its impact on the productivity of professionals

One of the most important sites recently surveyed thousands of professionals in the Middle East and North Africa region to learn about their views and strategies during this holy month and how they will affect employees, businesses and job seekers in 2018. More than 9 out of 10 respondents said they Are planning to look for work during the month of Ramadan. This is because more than two thirds (68.6%) of respondents in the region believe that the number of companies hiring new employees is increasing during this holy month. In addition, Bayt.com, the largest job site in the Middle East, reported that online recruitment activities are not experiencing any decrease during the month of Ramadan. The site has witnessed a significant increase in the number of jobs advertised during Ramadan 2017, From 12,000 jobs in May 2017 and over 15,000 jobs during June 2017. Productivity of the Holy Month 81.7 percent of professionals in the region agree that they feel more productive during Ramadan, while 14.8 percent said their productivity does not change this month, while only 3.5 percent said their productivity is falling. Interestingly, 61.4 per cent of respondents said that their workload increased during the holy month, possibly due to lower working hours, as indicated by the majority of respondents (89.4 per cent). On the other hand, 21.7% of the respondents said that the workload remains the same during the month of Ramadan, while 16.9% said that the workload is decreasing. In the Middle East and North Africa region, the majority of respondents (87.7%) expressed their satisfaction with working hours, with 81.9% stating that they were very satisfied with them, 4.7% expressed their neutrality and only 7.6% Reported that they were somewhat dissatisfied or dissatisfied at all. The respondents' opinions differ when it comes to taking leave from work during the month of Ramadan, with 54.6% saying they take more than usual leave this month, while 45.4% said they take less leave. Setting professional goals Most respondents in the Middle East and North Africa (88.4%) agree that Ramadan is the time to think about their personal and professional goals, while 6.7% are neutral and 4.9% oppose it. When respondents were asked about their favorite aspects of the month of Ramadan, more than two-thirds (67.5 percent) said spending time with family and friends was their favorite thing. Participants also enjoy prayer and prayer (12.6%), relaxation and quieter times (2.5%). On the other hand, the majority of respondents (89.6 percent) said Ramadan helps them improve their working relationships, while only 4.4 percent said the opposite was true, while 6 percent were neutral . In addition, 91.4% of respondents said that their company is doing more charitable work during the month of Ramadan.
