"Putin" intends to step down after the end of his current mandate

"I have always adhered strictly to the Russian constitution," Putin told reporters at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Friday when asked if he would leave office.
"In the Constitution, it is clear that no one can serve more than two consecutive terms, I intend to adhere to this rule."
Putin won a landslide victory in March's presidential election.
Putin resigned as president in 2008 after spending only two consecutive years to return in 2012 after serving as prime minister in Russia.
