Abadi: Continue to pursue the forgers

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi accused political blocs of encouraging the election commission in a way to falsify the results of the parliamentary elections held on May 12.
"The government is committed to supporting the logistics and securing the electoral centers for counting and manual counting and we look forward to announcing their results as soon as possible," Abadi said at his press conference on Tuesday.
He added that "some blocks encouraged the Electoral Commission to conduct the elections electronic voting devices questionable accuracy and chose a commission of sectarian quotas to protect their interests."
"We want to stay away from quotas as much as we can," he said, adding that "the government is formed by dialogues of the political blocs and it is not bad to nominate a party person but a technocrat and succeeds in his ministerial mission so we can work to maintain the independence of the government."
Abadi pointed out that "everyone is now waiting for the results of counting and sorting the hand, and the second phase to end the appeals and complaints in the elections, the role of the Commission and to be submitted to the Federal Court to ratify the results and then start constitutional time in forming the government and the new parliament, but these times have not yet begun.
