    Economy News - Baghdad
On Sunday, the Ministry of Electricity confirmed its intention to provide continuous energy and provide citizens with electricity on an ongoing basis, while talking about a plan to expand the national grid and remove bottlenecks.
Ministry spokesman Ahmed Moussa said in a televised interview followed by Al-Eqtisad News, “The Ministry organized a massive campaign for 15 days to address bottlenecks in crowded areas with increased demand,” noting that “Minister of Electricity Ziad Ali Fadel launched an intensive campaign to address these bottlenecks.”
Moussa added, "Electrical transformers need to be maintained, qualified, and organized in the electricity sector, and this will be implemented."
He explained, "The Iraqi citizen is constantly looking for electricity supply, and the ministry is determined to provide stable energy," pointing out that "the Minister of Electricity urged ministry officials to review citizens' appeals and complaints about energy supply."
He pointed out that "the distribution sector is working to address bottlenecks and dismantle networks to deliver energy to cities," adding: "We call on citizens to constantly review the maintenance sectors and coordinate with the treatment teams."
The electricity spokesman said, “Addressing the bottlenecks in the electrical network is done by distributing energy to consumers and increasing the capacity of the stations.”
He added, "Establishing express stations, electrical connections, and eliminating bottlenecks at stations are all ongoing projects."
Moussa stressed that "the coming period will witness improvement and stability in electricity supply," explaining that "the Minister of Electricity has set a program to expand the electrical network and supply by 15 days."
He continued, "There is a strategic plan for about 3 years to increase 11,000 megawatts from international companies."
