Today, Tuesday, the representative of Dhi Qar Governorate, Hassan Waryoush Al-Assadi, revealed the latest details of the proposal to legislate the Marshlands Law, while confirming that there are no political differences over the legislation of the law.
Al-Asadi said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “The next legislative term will witness the enactment of a number of important laws, including the proposed Marshlands Law.”
He added, "Many marshland areas still suffer from poor services under successive governments."
He pointed out that "the law, if enacted within the House of Representatives, will make the marshes an independent body to alleviate the suffering of the marshes' residents."
He continued, "A proposed law is currently with the Parliamentary Legal Committee. We hope to include it for the first reading during the next legislative term, as it is one of the important laws." Ended / 25 h
