North Korea demands the declaration of the end of the Korean War

On June 25, 1950, the war wreaked havoc when North Korea attacked its southern neighbor, expanded the war after the United Nations intervened. Sixteen countries, led by Turkey and the United States, sent military aid to South Korea to stand up to China, which supported North Korea.
The war ended with a cease-fire agreement on July 27, 1953, without the signing of a permanent peace treaty between the two Koreas.
