(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Ministry of the Interior issued an important decision regarding the diplomatic missions and consulates and the organizations and agencies of the United Nations operating in Iraq.
The Interior Ministry spokesman Major General Saad Maan said in a statement received by the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of it, "the issuance of an order from the Ministry to the Directorate of Civil Status, Passports and Residence provides for the exemption of all staff of diplomatic and consular missions and organizations and agencies of the United Nations working in Iraq from the Financial or ticket} provided for in Article (18 / III / B) of the Foreign Residence Act No. 76 of 2017 ".
Maan said that "this matter is because the above mentioned are not covered by the provisions of the said law on the basis of the provisions of paragraph {b} of Article {III} of Article {1} which stipulates that the provisions of this law shall not apply to: b) Heads of diplomatic and consular missions and their staff Authorized and non-accredited officials who are in fact responsible for their family members, taking into account the principle of reciprocity provided that they are provided with special identities from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. "
