The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) is pushing for the election of the president in the Iraqi parliament until after the regional elections on June 30 to impose a new deal on the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK).
The split extends to the Dawa Party, which is speculating that Prime Minister Haidar Abadi may be suspended from office, accusing him of dispersing the party and of losing his post of prime minister since 2005.
In the internal elections of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Barham Saleh, who announced his return to the party won the majority of votes for his nomination for the post of President of the Republic.

Barzani's party immediately declared that he was not bound by the nomination and that he had the right to hold the post for the highest Kurdish votes in the last elections (25 versus 18 seats).
But the basis of the crisis, according to insiders, is not related to Barzani's desire to win his party's position, but to Barham Saleh's rejection as a member of a system that is outside the deal that allowed parliament speaker Mohamed Halboussi to take his appointed position for the year, a candidate for the Iranian- And "state of law" and "axis" and won the support of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
According to informed sources, the Barzani party sent to the members of the Union a position that it would accept a candidate calculated on the family of former President Jalal Talabani, such as one of Adilih Mohammed Saber and Rashid Latif, or support of the current President Fuad Masum, but he will nominate him if Barham Saleh.
The sources added that the Union rejected the deal include the democratically elected position of the governor of Kirkuk and the rest of the ministries in the government, in exchange for Barham Saleh took over the presidency, prompting the latter to demand the parties «deal of the Speaker of Parliament» and the leader of the «Quds Force» Iranian Qassem Soleimani, The Republic until after the parliamentary elections in the region (30 this month), which Barzani party expected to get a sweeping majority in which reshape the map of the Kurdish forces.
The sources point out that Barham Saleh's entry into the post will be accompanied by the support of the Shiite parties to him, and this is considered by some unlikely if the axis of "building" under the auspices of Iran to impose a candidate from the Barzani party for the post.
Meanwhile, the leaks are accelerating within the Dawa Party, headed by Vice President Nuri al-Maliki, and Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi is one of its members.
After leaking a book from a number of leaders of the party to charge Abadi responsibility for the disintegration of the party and the possibility of losing the post of prime minister, because of his alliance with Moqtada al-Sadr and Ammar al-Hakim, a squadron close to Abadi documents on events and circumstances prove that Maliki is the refusal to unite the party, and Abadi refused to pay chest To the opposition, and tried to push the leadership of the party to merge the «state of law» and «victory» and understanding with al-Sadr on a large coalition formed by the government under his chairmanship.
The recent leak from a number of Dawa leaders appeared to have been a response to Abadi's leaking and renewed the latter's responsibility. He also demanded that Abadi be removed from the party or be frozen.
The name of the former leader of the Supreme Islamic Council, Adel Abdul Mahdi, is still on the table, but he has difficulties in passing it within the framework of the recommendations of the Shiite cleric Ali al-Sistani, in which he summarized his conditions to be the next prime minister independent of the parties and strong and strong .
