    Baghdad Investment Authority announced on Sunday the implementation of four thousand housing units within two projects for two residential complexes beside Karkh for the members of the Office of Financial Supervision and the Ministry of Science and Technology, which was merged with the Ministry of Higher Education.
    "The Authority has intensified its efforts to support the housing sector in order to solve the problem of shortage of housing units by providing various types of facilities for investors wishing to establish housing complexes serving," said Shaker al-Zamili, head of the board.     Al-Zamili added that "the most important projects implemented in the housing sector, is the complex is being implemented for the staff of the Office of Financial Control in the area of ​​Ghazaliya and Almstm on an area of ​​170 donums," explaining that "the project cost $ 180 million, including 2000 housing units, schools and hospital and funded commercially And an administrative building and entertainment club, and will be implemented in 3 stages, completed 11 buildings within the first phase of the project out of 25 building, "and hoped to achieve in the next two years according to the contractual period with the company implemented it.
    He added that "the Commission is also implementing an investment housing project for the benefit of employees of the former Ministry of Science and Technology, Ibn Farnas Complex, located in the Tajiyat area near the holy area of ​​Kadhimiya, and built on an area of ​​20 acres, 2000 units distributed over 44 buildings integrated services, and includes schools, kindergartens and markets Commercial and green spaces, "noting that" the payment will be facilitated by an advance payment of 20 percent of the value of the apartment at registration and 25 percent upon receipt, and the rest pays monthly payments over seven years. "
    He disclosed that "the Commission has been granted over the past ten years, more than 77 licenses for the construction of housing projects through which are the establishment of more than 130 thousand housing units, which contributes to fill the shortage of housing units needed by the country, while continuing the process of granting investment licenses within that The sector is keen to provide the best facilities to investors under the Investment Law No. 13 of 2006. "
