Baghdad investment: the implementation of 330 thousand housing units in the capital

He explained that the Commission is currently implementing investment projects, namely: Camp Rashid project in Zaafaraniya, Al-Dahana complex in Abu Ghraib and Basmaya in Nahrawan, stressing that it will provide a total of 200 Thousand housing units. Al-Zamili said that 70 other strategic projects in Baghdad will provide 130,000 units, 26,000 of which are implemented and distributed among 16 completed projects in terms of completion of contractual arrangements with land owners and the approval of land designs. He also disclosed that there are ongoing projects without obstacles, including: Al-Ayad Complex in Al-Mansour, which includes 1332 units, of which 600 units have been distributed so far and the rest will be delivered in batches, as well as the Al Yamamah residential project in Al-Adl district, Unit, 300 units will be delivered early next year. The head of the Baghdad Investment Authority, said that the budget of the Commission annually does not exceed 800 million dinars, which is dedicated only to the operational budget, although the Commission achieved revenues of up to 25 billion dinars annually distributed among the owners of land, pointing out that the Commission has begun coordination with the relevant authorities to get On the areas of the owners of the land to implement projects on them. He pointed out that the country's investment policy was very slow after 2003, but the trend now is towards the private sector and investment, noting that the Investment Law No. 13 of 2006 gave a great opportunity for both domestic and foreign investors.
