    Russia and Pakistan have signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in the implementation of a pipeline project to supply gas from Iran to Pakistan and India, the Russian Energy Ministry announced Thursday.
    "The MoU provides for comprehensive support for the offshore pipeline project, through which Pakistan and India will be supplied with gas from Iran. The memorandum sets out the companies involved in the transfer process, as well as the technical and economic bases, the resource base and the gas pipeline," the ministry said in a statement.
    The head of the Russian company Gazprom, Alexei Miller, has announced earlier that the company will submit its proposals on the development of fields, "Farzad" and "North Pars" and "Kish" in the first quarter of 2018.
    In November 2017, Gazprom and the Iranian company NOC signed a memorandum of understanding allowing the two companies to begin preparing a feasibility study for the gas pipeline project from Iran to India via Pakistan. End 25 n
