China signs a memorandum of understanding with Palestine to negotiate a free trade agreement
China signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on a free trade agreement with Palestine, the Ministry of Commerce said on Wednesday.
The MoU was signed by Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Qian Kiming and Palestinian National Economy Minister Abeer Odeh during Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan's visit to Palestine, the ministry said in a statement on its website.
China's Ministry of Commerce said the two sides agreed to intensify negotiations and try to reach early agreement.
In 2017, trade between China and Palestine reached 69.28 million dollars, up 16.2 percent from a year earlier.
