The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Finance Minister Fuad Hussein received in his office the German ambassador to Baghdad Cyril Nan.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed Iraq's keenness to strengthen the distinguished relations between the two countries, pointing out that the next phase will focus the government's efforts to develop plans for reconstruction and reconstruction and to develop the economic sector and provide services and employment opportunities.
The two sides discussed the latest developments in the political situation in Iraq and steps to complement the new government.
"The new government's approach focuses on developing the economic sector, providing services and fighting corruption. This requires the consolidation of the culture of acceptance of change and innovation. It also requires the support of Iraqi friends through their expertise to develop the efficiency of the workers, especially German expertise. "We will support and encourage the private sector to take its role in strengthening the Iraqi economy in all its aspects, especially the banking system."
"Germany and the European Union are ready to give full support to the government and the people of Iraq in order to complete the building of its institutions and consolidate the democratic system," the ambassador said.
