    An Iraqi newspaper reported on Saturday that there were government fears of the start of demonstrations in Basra calling for the provision of services, pointing out that the political class is preoccupied with obtaining positions. 

    The newspaper quoted an official source in the local government of Basra as saying that "the people of Basra are fully aware that the government decisions issued in the past periods are only promises," noting that "the political class is busy getting positions in the new cabinet, The preoccupation with the return of the displaced and the construction of cities liberated from the control of the organization is calling, and does not think of addressing the crisis in Basra.

    The source added that "there are government fears of sparking these demonstrations and spread to other provinces, such as Nasiriyah and Najaf , especially that the crisis spread from water and electricity to the floods," considering that "the current government situation does not allow any popular movement, because politicians clash today threshold Deficit in the country's budget, in addition to the collapse of oil prices. " 

    "In fact, the citizen does not represent a number at the political, and the relationship between them ends at the closing of the ballot boxes," he explained, adding that "the politician does not return to the citizen until four years, and issued by the government decisions are statements and information is empty." 

    The MP for the bloc of change Hoshyar Abdullah , on Saturday, that the government of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, can not succeed without putting quick solutions to the problems suffered by Basra.

    Adel Abdul Mahdi , on 28 November, the local government of Basra and its security leaders to work together to develop solutions to the problems that prevent the provision of services to the people of the province, stressing that the government began effective measures to provide all support for the province and its people.
