The United States on Wednesday renewed its security support for Iraq as well as revitalizing Iraq's economy.
"He welcomed the US Secretary of State and his accompanying delegation, stressing the importance of Iraqi-US relations, especially in the war against the terrorist advocate, as well as cooperation in the field of energy and economy," said a statement from Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi's office. That Iraq is a democratic country is witnessing remarkable development and keen on the stability of the region and the establishment of normal relations with Arab and friendly countries and all neighboring countries.
He added that "the meeting included discussing the US withdrawal from Syria and the US Secretary of State that his country is determined to implement this resolution gradually and systematically and in cooperation and coordination with Iraq.
The US Secretary of State congratulated the Prime Minister on his assumption of the presidency of the government and continue to achieve the aspirations of the Iraqi people.
