Minister of Labor: Violations of the work of oil companies in Basra and training the unemployed "laughed at the chin"

Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Basem Abdul Zaman al-Rubaie confirmed on Monday that the preliminary report of inspection committees sent to the oil companies in Basra and the contracting with the Ministry of Oil proved a number of violations. Al-Rubaie pointed out that the subject of training the unemployed in preparation for their involvement in the oil companies was the result of the pressure exerted on these companies after the ministerial inspection committees to investigate violations, pointing out that these solutions are considered solutions to the patch and laughed at the chin.
Al-Rubaie said in a press statement that the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs sent 20 inspection committees earlier to these companies and that these committees continue their work, noting that the preliminary report, which was handed over to the ministry on the ninth of this month, And the lack of commitment to employ 50% of the Iraqi workforce, as well as the entry of foreign workers informally.
Al-Rubaie revealed that the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is currently moving towards employing local workers in oil companies in Basra by 50%, considering that this approach is the only solution to eliminate unemployment.
