Shafaq News / Dawn of Sunday, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Fawzi Atrushi died after a long conflict with the disease.
Fawzi Aziz Mirza Atrushi was born on July 1, 1953 in the province of Dohuk, in the area of Atrush, a graduate of the University of Baghdad, the Faculty of Political Law / Law Department. He holds a Master's degree in International Public Law / Sofia University, a leading member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party .
He led the European branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) from 1986 until 2001. He served as the official of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's external information bureau. He served as political advisor to the London-based newspaper Al-Muhaddam in the name of the Iraqi opposition from 2002 to 2003.
He oversaw the London edition of the newspaper Heh, which is the mouthpiece of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. He also worked for the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) newspaper Al-Takhi, and served as a media coordinator for the Kurdistan Democratic Party in the Quartet.
He was a member of the Union of Jurists in Kurdistan and Baghdad, a member of the Bar Association of Kurdistan and Baghdad, a member of the Kurdistan Literary Union, a member of the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate, a member of the Iraqi Creators Association and an Undersecretary of the Iraqi Ministry of Culture.
He has mastered Kurdish, Arabic, German, Spanish, Bulgarian and English languages. He has many political and poetic works, and has received many awards.
