    Iraq and Jordan agreed to activate the joint agreement between the two countries and to overcome the obstacles that hinder the progress of what was achieved after the signing of it officially.
    This came during a meeting between Trade Minister Mohammed Hashem al-Ani and his Jordanian counterpart Tariq al-Hammouri, who is currently visiting Baghdad to activate the agreement signed by Iraq and Jordan.
    Al-Ani said during the meeting, according to a statement read by "Economy News", that "there is importance to economic integration and the activation of economic and trade relations with Jordan through increasing the volume of trade exchange and proceed by mutual agreement in the interest of the two brotherly peoples. Exchange of experiences and information between the Iraqi private sector and his Jordanian counterpart to achieve real partnerships. "
    He added that "the level of relations between Iraq and Jordan began to take another direction after the signing of the agreement, which culminated in the joint dialogues between the two sides at all levels, as well as the mutual desire to achieve economic integration and development of relations in various fields, which reflected positively in the achievement of joint cooperation.
    Al-Ani pointed out that "Iraq is open to all in the light of the government program announced by the Prime Minister to achieve economic growth and develop its national production through laws and procedures that contribute to support the national industries in the industrial, agricultural and commercial sectors, a red line can not allow other products compete locally."
    For his part, Jordanian Minister of Industry and Trade Tariq al-Hammouri expressed Jordan's desire for close cooperation with Iraq covering all fields.
    Al-Hamouri pointed out that he met representatives of Iraqi industrial sectors with the aim of ensuring that the achievement of the agreement will positively affect the level of bilateral cooperation and support the national product. Jordan will work to overcome obstacles, overcome obstacles and prevent Jordanian factories from putting bad marks on goods that are not Jordanian.
    He continued: "We will be severely punished any violation that harm the Iraqi national product, which we will support and strongly supported by the same efforts in support of Jordanian industries."
