Iraq and Iran agreed to cancel visa fees between the two countries starting next April.
The Iranian news agency IRNA reported on Monday that President Hassan Rowhani announced during a joint press conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi that Tehran and Baghdad agreed to cancel visa fees between the two countries.

Rohani said that Iran had proposed to Iraq that the entry visas be canceled but that the Iraqi side demanded their stay. The two countries agreed to keep the visas, but they would be free of charge and without any fees.

Iranian President Hassan Rowhani arrived in Baghdad on Monday for an official visit to Iraq, the first since he took office.
