The Directorate of Investigation of the Integrity Commission in the province of Basra thwarted an attempt to introduce untested foodstuffs into the country, while a senior employee was seized on the embezzlement of public funds in a hospital in the province.
"Six suspects were arrested in a civil company, which, in collusion with other staff of the Ministry of Health, Customs and Port of the province, brought in a shipment of unexplored chickens to the country," said a statement by the Integrity Commission.
"The operation resulted in the seizure of the company's computers, customs permits and a certificate of examination and release at the company's headquarters."
On the other hand, the Directorate seized cases of fraud and embezzlement in one of the government hospitals in the province, as the staff of the Directorate seized one of the staff of the hospital, who misappropriated the amounts of the hospital through fake receipts carrying the same numbers as the original receipts, in order to misappropriation of funds for his personal benefit.
According to the statement, the control operation carried out by the Directorate under a judicial warrant resulted in the seizure of 50 drums of patients' trenches, as well as the arrival of 2 Balak.
The Integrity Commission confirmed that "the suspects arrested in the two operations along with the criminal probes will be sent to the competent judicial authorities to take legal action against them." Ending / p
