US national security adviser John Bolton called for an end to what he called 40 years of terrorism in Iran.
He said in a tweet on Twitter that US President Donald Trump had given Iran the opportunity to improve its future. Bolton had gone through 40 years of failure and now it is up to the Iranian regime to change its behavior and ultimately to the Iranian people to determine its course. The United States will support the will of the Iranian people and stand behind it to hear its voice.
Bolton commented on the US Treasury's decision to impose additional sanctions on Iran's petrochemical sector, targeting Iran's biggest and most lucrative Iranian company because of its support for an Iranian Revolutionary Guards engineering company. He said Iran's spending on supporting terrorism would worsen its economic situation. .
