(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The General Authority of Customs issued on Sunday, clarifications regarding the statement of MP Ahmed Mazhar Jubouri about the existence of waste of money in the General Authority for Customs.
The authority said in a statement received by {Euphrates News}, a copy of it, it 's "recorded during the past two years , an unprecedented rise in customs revenues , despite the challenges and interventions taking place in most of the customs centers border which caused a waste of public money and disruption is a project of customs procedures , "
she added, she "Despite The difficulties facing the customs work and the acute shortage in the number of qualified employees and the lack of minimum requirements, means and means of customs work has announced during the past two months recording the highest daily revenues recorded in each of the centers of Umm Qasr North and the middle and the gate of Basra exceeded two billion dinars per Center ".
The Commission affirmed that "this achievement is the outcome of the customs administration's directives to combat corruption, to deal with cases of manipulation and evasion of customs duties, as well as to facilitate the completion of customs transactions, which encouraged traders to increase imports of goods and goods, which reflected positively on the revenues of all customs centers."
"Revenues are included in a closed account without the right of withdrawal, and all amounts of the collected revenues are transferred by the approved government banks to the Ministry of Finance's open account with the Central Bank."
The Commission called upon "all concerned parties to comply with the tasks entrusted to them within their jurisdiction, to tighten control of ports and border gates, to develop tight security plans, to regulate the movement of persons, vehicles and trucks and to prevent unauthorized persons from being present at the customs site."
