Turkey sells more than one billion square meters to fill the budget deficit

[rtl]Turkish Minister of Environment and Urban Planning Murat Korum announced that the last five years have seen the sale of 245,337 properties with an area of 1 billion and 170 million square meters.[/rtl]
[rtl]This came against the backdrop of the Republican People's Party for the city of Negda Omar Fathi Gorar, a request for a briefing to Vice President Fouad Oktay to know the areas and value of properties sold in the last five years.[/rtl]
[rtl]The response came from the Minister of Environment and Urban Planning Murad Korum who explained that the government of the Justice and Development Party sold 245,337 properties and land with a total area of 1 billion and 170 million square meters, pointing out that the land and real estate belonged to the state treasury.[/rtl]
[rtl]Corum explained that the sale was initially on 166,452 properties and immovable with a total area of 561.7 million square meters, under Article 6 of Law No. 6292, while 48,358 properties and land were sold on an area of 541.7 million square meters under Article 12 of Law No. 6292, while 30,527 properties and land were sold for a total area of 66.4 million square meters under other provisions and laws.[/rtl]
[rtl]The Minister explained that the area of land and real estate leased in the same period between 2015-2019 amounted to 975 million square meters of fields, gardens, agricultural land and space, saying, "The leases for 31,436 properties and plots of land with a total area of 479.2 million square meters, Within the lease of a private lease number of 22 thousand and 566 plots of land and real estate.[/rtl]
