[size=52]Iraq's highest judicial authority ruled in favor of the Kurdistan region in a dispute with the Ministry of Defense[/size]
[size=45]BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraq's Federal Supreme Court on Wednesday resolved a judicial dispute between military and Kurdistan regional courts over a complaint by the defense ministry.
[size=45]"The Federal Supreme Court held its session under the chairmanship of Judge Medhat al-Mahmoud and the presence of all the judges," court spokesman Iyas al-Samouk said in a statement.[/size]
[size=45]He added that "the Minister of Defense / in addition to his job, asked the Federal Supreme Court to appoint the court competent to conduct an investigation into the case of one of the accused, and the complainant of the public right (Ministry of Defense) in accordance with Article (316) of the Penal Code."[/size]
[size=45]He continued, Samok that "the Federal Supreme Court found the scrutiny of the papers before it the occurrence of a judicial dispute between the courts of the Kurdistan region and military courts to consider the matter."[/size]
