Iraq has concluded a memorandum of understanding with Jordan in the field of transfer of convicts except for terrorism cases

The Ministry of Justice signed a Memorandum of Understanding with its Jordanian counterpart in the field of transferring those convicted of negative penalties, except those convicted of terrorism cases.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Justice Thaer al-Jubouri said in a statement on Tuesday that Justice Minister Farouq Amin al-Shawani signed on the Iraqi side, while the Jordanian side signed the Jordanian Minister of Justice Bassam al-Talhouni. This note.
He added that the memorandum of understanding took into account the laws and regulations of the two countries, in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples. He pointed out that it excluded the transfer of convicts on terrorism issues, as they will be reciprocated between the two countries, and will be implemented in the coming days.
It is noteworthy that the memorandum was signed in the Jordanian capital Amman, and the Iraqi delegation included a number of directors in the Ministry of Justice.
