Deputy for Saeroun: Iran is pressing in various ways to nominate "Al-Sudani" to succeed "Abdul-Mahdi"
One of the Iraqi parliamentarians revealed, on Saturday, the clear pressures exerted by Iran with the aim of nominating "Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani" as prime minister to succeed his resigning predecessor, Adel Abdul-Mahdi.
"Muhammad al-Ghazi", a deputy from the "Saeron" alliance, said that Iranian interference in Iraqi affairs is quite clear, and it is trying to press in various ways to push "Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani" as prime minister, succeeding his predecessor.
He continued, "Al-Ghazi" that the assignment of "Sudanese" as prime minister was met with a strong popular and mass rejection, as a party person not unlike his predecessor, in addition to his lack of affiliation, and his failure to manage the ministries that he assumed during previous governments.
The "Gazan" sent his call to the President of the Republic, "Barham Salih" to assume his constitutional responsibilities to nominate a person who is compatible with the demands of the Iraqi protesters.
