    [size=18]Parliament member Salim Hamza, on Thursday, called for speeding up the resolution of the candidate for the position of prime minister, warning of a "big problem" and a constitutional and administrative vacuum, while stressing the importance of overcoming the structural and sectarian quotas in the distribution of positions in the coming periods.


    Hamzah said in an interview with Alsumaria News, "If the constitutionally-term deadline for assigning a candidate for prime minister is over, he will take over the functions of the prime minister, but he will not be able to nominate the names of new ministers or receive any names for candidates for ministries," noting that "this situation makes us need to Expedite the resolution of the name of the prime minister candidate so that we do not fall into a constitutional, governmental and administrative vacuum, as it is a big problem.







    Hamza added, "The constitution was silent on the treatment of this partial, and this represents a defect in the constitution that needs to be modified in the future." He pointed out that "the ball today is in the stadium of the President of the Republic in order to send the name of the candidate in order to complete his government cabinet in preparation for the parliament’s vote on it."

    He continued, "We do not have a problem with the nominated personalities, they are confined within the Shiite house, despite our reservations about the continuation of the sectarian and component quotas mechanism and the restriction of sovereign positions between specific components," stressing that "limiting the prime minister to a component, the republic, and parliament with other components is something that is not indicated Constitutionally, it is a problem that must be overcome in the coming periods to achieve progress in the Iraqi state and end quotas. "
