Economist: New Baghdad Industrial City will create 300,000 jobs

On Wednesday, economic expert, Saleh Al-Hamash, stated that the establishment of one industrial city in Baghdad, with 1,000 sites or workshops, would provide 300,000 jobs for the people of the capital, pointing out that there are industrial cities planned for construction since the eighties of the last century in Baghdad.
Al-Hamash said in a statement to "Information", that "Baghdad is set since the eighties of the last century in which a group of industrial cities will be established in the outskirts of the capital in the regions of Bob Sham and behind Ghazaliya and in the cliff of Naddaf and Zafaraniya, but the plan has not been initiated to this day."

He stressed that "the establishment of industrial cities will need a few months because of the technological development taking place, the availability of raw materials and ease of transportation, as it will need its own infrastructure, special sewage treatment plants, heavy water and roads that link to the governorates." 25 n ended
