A leaked video reveals escalating tension between Rouhani and the Revolutionary Guards ... and calls for Khamenei's departure
British newspaper "Telegraph" revealed escalating tensions between the Iranian government and the Revolutionary Guards after the shooting down of the Ukrainian plane and its severe repercussions on the country.
The newspaper said, in a report, on Tuesday, that tensions increased after Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's office accused them of misinformation regarding the downing of the Ukrainian plane.
She explained that with the outbreak of protests in the streets of Iran in protest against the shooting down of the plane, Rouhani's supporters began to direct the tide of popular anger towards their most hard-line opponents in the Revolutionary Guards.
